Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Enter your 8-digit Student ID number (username) and click on the “Continue” button. If you are unsure of your Student ID (also known as Banner ID), you can retrieve it through the NOCCCD ‘Forgot ID’ page.

Step 4:

Select “Reset Forgotten Password” and then click on the “Continue” button to continue.

Step 5:

A One-Time Passcode (OTP) will be sent to either your email on file or phone number. The delivery method—email or phone—will be indicated at the top of the section. Once you receive the OTP, enter it in the “One-Time Passcode” field and click Continue to proceed.

*If the email address shown is outdated or you no longer have access to it, please update your email using the Student Information Change Form. Allow up to 2 business days for processing. You will not receive an OTP until your email address has been updated.

*Important: Updating your phone number will not enable text message delivery of the One-Time Passcode (OTP).

Use the form above to update your email address only. Once you regain portal access, you can then update your phone number to receive OTP’s via text, as outlined in step 9 of the instructions.


Step 6:

You can also click “Problems with the OTP?” for more ways to retrieve your passcode—if alternate contact methods are available:

For example, if you’ve added a phone number for authentication, it will appear here (outlined in red). If no alternate method is listed, you’ll need to update your email using the Student Information Change Form:

Step 7:

After entering your One-Time Password (OTP), you’ll be prompted to create a New Password. Please follow the password requirements below:

  • Must be at least 10 characters long
  • Cannot include the “<“ character
  • Cannot contain the sequence “&#”

Once you’ve entered your new password, retype it in the Confirm Password field, then click Continue to proceed:

Step 8:

Return to the login screen, enter your Username (Student ID/Banner ID) and your new password, then click Login to access your account.

Step 9:

(Optional) Once logged in, if you’d like to add your phone number or update your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) method, please refer to the instructions under “How do I switch my 2FA preference” on the following page: NOCCCD – Portal Access.

Please note: You will only be able to complete this step after successfully gaining access to the portal. If you do not currently have access, please follow the previous steps (1-8) before proceeding.
