Apply to Become a Student at NOCE, Register for Classes, and Get Started!

1. Apply For a Student Identification Number

Apply for a Student ID!

Are you interested in taking tuition-free noncredit courses at NOCE? This includes the following programs:

  • Academic Tutoring/Basic Skills Learning Centers
  • Career Technical Education
  • Citizenship Preparation
  • College Preparation-Math, English
  • Disability Support Services
  • English as a Second Language
  • High School Diploma
  • GED/HiSET Preparation
  • Parenting
  • Program for Older Adults (Emeritus Program)

If the answer is “YES”, then you are in the right place! First-time students can apply for a Student Identification (ID) number online. Applicants will receive an e-mail with registration instructions/information within two (2) business days of online submission.

Are you looking to enroll in fee-based Personal Enrichment courses? These courses include:

Community Services/Personal Enrichment Courses for Adults include:

  • Business and Professional Development
  • Fine and Applied Arts – Painting, Sewing, Quilting, Needlework
  • Language Arts and Foreign Language
  • Physical Fitness, Dance, Martial Arts

If YES, you’ll need to head to the Personal Enrichment Registration page to follow the step-by-step instructions on applying and enrolling in classes.


2. Register for Classes

Refer to the NOCE Class Schedule for class details.

3. Get Started!

Congrats! You have successfully completed the steps to become a new NOCE student! We look forward to seeing you in class! Now that you are registered, don’t forget to purchase your textbooks or parking pass (if needed), or make an appointment with a counselor.

Counseling and Student Services offers in-person and remote support.

Advanced appointments for in-person counseling are recommended.

Students can call (714) 808-4682 or e-mail counseling@noce.edu to make an appointment with a counselor or for orientation assistance. (Student ID is required to make an appointment, please include your student ID number and phone number when emailing.)

Student Technology Support Services

The Student Technology Support Services provides technical support to students for NOCE technologies such as:

  • Laptop Loan Program
  • Student Emails Assistance
  • Multi-Factor Authentication Assistance
  • Technology Referrals

Career Skills and Resource Lab

The Career Skills and Resource Lab helps students with:

  • Navigating through the MyGateway student portal
  • Navigating through the Canvas learning management system
  • Instructions on how to access courses in Canvas
  • Uploading and downloading assignments in Canvas
