Fall 2026 Book Award Application Window

The NOCE Book Award Program will accept applications during the following window for the Fall 2026 semester. Apply early to ensure timely processing and award distribution. Application may close sooner than anticipated deadline due to limited awards available.

What is the NOCE book award?

This program supports students enrolled in eligible NOCE certificate programs, including ESL and Career Technical Education (CTE), where required textbooks are part of the coursework.

This program does not apply to Emeritus programs, high school programs, or fee-based classes.

This award is provided as a credit at the Fullerton College Bookstore for assistance in purchasing required books and access codes as deemed necessary for the course by the instructor and available at the bookstore.

Award amounts are now standardized. All approved students will receive $100.

Please note: To support students’ academic progress, use of funds for non-required items is not permitted. Misuse of Book Award funds will result in ineligibility for future Book Award applications.

Complete an application for consideration and meet the following requirements:

*Please note: Due to the anticipated number of requests, not all students who apply will receive a book award. This award is non-transferable, and we are unable to accommodate any reimbursement requests.

How to Apply

1. Click Apply Now.
2. Sign in to MyGateway using your student ID number and password.
3. Select NOCE Book Award from the Student Surveys menu.
4. Complete all required questions and click Save and Submit.

Important: Select NOCE Book Award. The Fullerton College Food Pantry and Basic Needs Center Survey appears for all district students and is not the Book Award application. It may be ignored.

Using a shared computer? Before starting the Book Award application, verify that you are signed in to your own MyGateway account.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

• 1. How do I know if my class requires a textbook before I apply?

  While you may not know if a textbook will be required for your course, we encourage you to apply early.

  You can also check whether your class requires a textbook by:

  • • Visiting the Fullerton College Bookstore website
    • Searching for your course materials using your Banner ID, or
    • Searching by course number and section

  If textbooks are required for your class, they will appear in the bookstore system once available.
• 2. Why am I unable to access the Book Award application?

  If you sign in and only see the Fullerton College Food Pantry and Basic Needs Center Survey, but do not see the NOCE Book Award Survey, you may not currently meet the eligibility requirements for the Book Award application.

  To be eligible, you must:

  • • Be registered in Fall 2026 ESL or CTE Certificate Program courses
    • Have a Student Educational Plan (SEP) that is no more than one year old

  Please allow 24-48 hours after registering for classes or completing an SEP for your eligibility to update in the system.

  If you receive a “401 Unauthorized” message, try the following:

  • • Use a different browser
    • Open a private/incognito browser window
    • Use a desktop or laptop computer instead of a mobile device
    • Close your browser, reopen it, and sign in again

  If the application is still unavailable after completing these steps, please email BookAwards@NOCE.edu for assistance.
• 3. How will I know if I successfully completed the Book Award application?

  After you complete the NOCE Book Award survey and click Save and Submit, you can return to the Student Surveys menu to view your application.

  Under NOCE Book Award, you will see Submitted along with the date and time your application was submitted.

  A confirmation email will also be sent within 1-3 business days stating:

  “You have successfully applied for the NOCE Book Award! Your application has been received and is currently pending review.”

  Please check your email regularly for updates regarding your application status.

  Please note: Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive a Book Award. Due to the anticipated number of requests and limited funding, not all students who apply will receive an award.
• 4. When will I know if I have been selected for the Book Award?

  Students will be emailed award notifications along with instructions on how to purchase their books.

  We will strive to notify recipients within 5–7 business days of application completion.
• 5. When can I visit the Fullerton College bookstore to purchase my books?

  The Fullerton College Bookstore is open for in-store purchases. For the most up-to-date hours, please call (714) 992-7008 or visit the Fullerton College Bookstore Website.

  When visiting the bookstore, please bring a printed copy of your class schedule or have it available on your mobile device.
