Classic Registration (Webstar 8) is the previous version of our student registration system. It allows students to register, waitlist, and drop classes using the familiar interface. While we’ve upgraded to Webstar 9, Classic Registration will remain available through December 31, 2025, for those who prefer the older system.
How to Register Steps
Step 1:
At the very top of the homepage, click on the MyGateway icon.
Or go to noce.edu/mygateway.
*Safari is not compatible*
Step 2:
Log onto MyGateway with your MyGateway ID (also known as your Banner/Student ID) and your password.
Don’t know your MyGateway ID?
Click on the “Forgot Username” link on the MyGateway site.
Don’t know your password?
Click on the “Forgot Password?” button on the MyGateway site.

Step 3:

Search “Classic” in the top search bar and select “Register for Classes—CLASSIC”
Step 4:

Select the appropriate NOCE Fall 2025 Term and click Submit
*NOCE Spring 2026 term will be available:
Tuesday, December 2: Active Adults/Emeritus Classes
Wednesday, December 3: All Other Classes
Step 5:

Answer the six (6) Student Term Questions.
Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page once you are done.
Step 6:
Add the class CRN number(s) in the CRNs field(s).
*You may find the CRN at noce.edu/schedule as seen in the example below.


Step 7:
Click Confirm Your Choices and view the course Status at the top of the page, as seen below. If you’ve successfully registered, you’ll see “Registered–Web on (date)” under the Status column. If you received an error, visit noce.edu/errors for explanations and solutions.

Step 8:

Click the Complete Registration button.
How to Waitlist Steps
Step 1:
Follow the Steps 1 through 4 on the “How to Register Steps” listed above.
Step 2:
Select Waitlist from the drop-down menu under ACTION.

Step 3:
Click the Confirm Your Choices and view the course Status at the top of the page, as seen below

Step 4:

Click Complete Registration. If you received an error, visit noce.edu/errors for explanations and solutions.
How to Drop Steps
Step 1:
Follow the Steps 1 through 4 on the “How to Register Steps” listed above.
Step 2:
Select Drop On Line or Drop-Career Tech SCE from the drop-down menu under ACTION.

Step 3:
Click Confirm Your Choices and view the course Status at the top of the page, as seen below.

Step 4:

Click Complete Registration.
